The company
In 1987 ICAM was founded by Alasdair Williamson who pioneered a new technique for air sampling of gas and smoke. This led to a patented system for air-sampling over a wide area with the ability to pinpoint the source of an incident.
This technique quickly found applications in a diverse range of industries from CO2 leak detection in nuclear power-plants to early warning smoke detection in critical risk areas.
Initially ICAM developed this technology in a range of OEM controls and products supplying product as engines to the worlds leading ASD manufacturers, with sales of thousands of units worldwide.
In 1997 ICAM launched it’s own range of air sampling systems named FireTracer but continued to act as the research engine for several Air Sampling System manufactures. As the business grew and thanks to it’s drive for innovation and it’s expert and expanding knowledge base, the company maintained double digit growth year after year.
ICAM counts many major, internationally reputed, companies amongst it’s customers. ICAM’s products are found in power stations, telco’s, mines, IT facilities, LCD Fab’s, Semi Conductor clean rooms, prisons, warehouses, cold storage rooms, harsh and hazardous areas, historic buildings, museums and even in residences.
Icam is committed to create revenue growth opportunities for it’s partners through product innovation and focussing on the market opportunities.
